Hindu Matters In Britain - For British Hindus

Petition to combat terrorism

A petition that outlining for the “UK Govt to strongly condemn Pakistan for providing safe haven for terrorists” has reached over 19,000 signatories. If the petition reaches 100,000 signatures than the Government would have to consider the issue for parliamentary debate.

The petition states that ‘Pakistan continues to double speak on issue of terrorism. It has aided & abetted enemies of the international coalition (of which Britain is a leading partner with the US) against terrorism. Osama Bin Laden's hide out was in Pakistan. Pakistan continues to harbour UN sanctioned terror networks’. You can find the petition and full text at: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/168107/signatures/new

The Foreign& Commonwealth Office has made an initial response stating that “Pakistan has made significant sacrifices in opposing terrorism. The UK has regularly raised with Pakistan the need to take consistent action against all terrorist groups operating within its borders.” You can find the full response at: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/168107
